ABD10 How to slow down to the speed of life for greater success a and in business with ServiceBuddha, Devon Bandison

Whether running a business or building a business on the side, we often get stuck going at “ludicrous speed” (courtesy of Spaceballs movie!) and we get disconnected to ourselves and everyone around us. We go from hustling to hiding behind the hustle. Our guest today, Devon Bandison, aka ServiceBuddha, shares with us how he now travels more than ever before and yet, is spending more time with his kids more than ever before…yet his business is booming. He does this by slowing down to the speed of light. But knowing where he came from, people typically do not think this would be possible. Check out this interview, learn his story, his struggles and his awesome lessons….and I’m quite certain you will walk away with life-changing lessons.

About Devon

Devon “The Connector” Bandison was born and raised in NYC and shares the same energetic heartbeat, big personality and commitment to excellence as his hometown. Devon is a high performance coach and speaker who’s committed to individuals and organizations that want to maximize their potential in areas of leadership, productivity, fatherhood, and work-life satisfaction. His highly sought after seminars and workshops help organizations, individuals, and teams increase employee performance, motivation, engagement, and retention.

Devon’s signature talk “The Most Important Question A Father Can Ask Himself” has gained national recognition and was a featured TED Talk at TEDx Boca Raton in March 2015.

Devon earned his Master of Public Administration and holds a B.A. in Psychology. He has over 15 years of experience creating and delivering nationally recognized community programs providing professionals, fathers, youth and families with the tools to become more effective leaders. He has served on various city and statewide councils, committees and organizations that produce grants for non-for profit organizations and improve service delivery.

Adversity has served as his greatest teacher, molding him into the modern leader and loving father he is today. His mother and grandparents raised Devon when his parents divorced in early childhood. His world became shaped and influenced by internalizing the pain of divorce and an absent father who was addicted to drugs; staying on course for success while growing up proved to be challenging.

However, as a young father a shift in perspective and a decision to choose growth over victimization transformed Devon’s life. He began the road to recovering his true self.  His keynotes and seminars connect these real life experiences to the power of transformation. Often called “The Connector” because of his unique ability to connect the dots for others, Devon shows participants how they can transform their own challenges into a legacy of leadership, meaning and purpose.

Devon believes that “Fatherhood is Leadership and Leadership is Influence.” He often says, “Like leadership, fatherhood is not about a position or a title, but rather the opportunity to model for others effective leadership and create a living legacy.” Devon currently lives in NYC and is a loving father to his three children. His children inspire him daily to create and live his own legacy of leadership.
